RAW THAI

The project started upon my arrival to Thailand after spending a couple of years living in New York. With a pair of fresh new eyes, Thailand becomes an exotic and exciting place to shoot. I began to appreciate little details of local people like what they wear or their unique facial features. I want to capture their untold stories of the common people. Even little details of the mundane places I visit fascinate me. Then I realized that Thailand is a place where nothing goes together. There are so many beliefs, communities, religions cramped up in the same tiny little space almost like watching a live theatre. This used to be one of my obstacles shooting in Thailand but now I love the weirdness, mismatched sceneries, and rawness of local people. These are what charmed me the most.
